Problem Note 62850: FeatureMap associations (FeatureSources or FeatureTargets type) are randomly deleted during check-in of objects from SAS® Data Integration Studio
FeatureMap associations (FeatureSources or FeatureTargets type) are randomly deleted during check-in of objects from SAS Data Integration Studio. This issue is most likely to occur when a developer uses the metadata check-in and check-out features of SAS® Metadata Server. In practice, this issue is usually seen from users in SAS Data Integration Studio. In addition, the likelihood of seeing this issue increases when the source jobs and physical tables are stored in a custom repository instead of in the Foundation repository.
You encounter the issue if you complete steps similar to the following:
- Check out a number of jobs and physical tables in SAS Data Integration Studio. The check-out procedure puts the objects into your project repository.
- Perform normal development work on the jobs and tables.
- Check in the jobs and physical tables. The check-in procedure removes the objects from your project repository and saves them back to the original source repository.
After check-in completes, a review of the FeatureMaps contained in the job shows that a FeatureSources or FeatureTargets one-to-one column mapping has been incorrectly deleted. The job with the affected FeatureMap might or might not be one of the jobs that you just checked in.
